Mrs. Brown explained how good deeds could get her and Mrs. Bartlett to go on a sleepover on the roof of Burntwood School in June. As part of our commitment to Rachel's Challenge, the students are making an effort treat others with kindness and compassion. Rachel thought that we could create a chain reaction with kindness; if we are kind to someone, they will be kind to someone else, who will do something kind for yet another person and so on. When someone has benefitted from the kindness of someone else, they can ask their teacher for a link upon which they write what that person did for them. Mrs. Brown is collecting these links and making a chain. She and Mrs. Bartlett have issued a challenge to Burntwood Students to create a chain link of good deeds that will go around the perimeter of the soccer fields behind Burntwood School. If the students can accomplish that, then they will both camp out on the roof, overnight, some time in June.
