PinkDay07

Students took a stand against bullying and marched during last period Friday, Oct, 19, 2007. They were following the example of two Nova Scotia students, David Shepher and Travis Price, who took a stand against bullying at Central Kings Rural High school in Cambridge, N.S.. They organized students to dress in pink after one student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school.

Thanks goes to RDPC Student Services, RDPC Youth Aboriginal Council (YAC), and Student Council (Power of Youth) who helped organize. Face-painting was provided by student groups and RDPC Cosmetology students, as well as others. RDPC administrators, staff, and students all participated in the march. The RCMP was on hand to control traffic and keep students safe.
