Annual General
Meeting
December 7, 2009
Present: Danny Morris, Esther Latchman, Madeline Ponask, Anne Lindsay, Ryan Land and Betty Landego (recorder).
Regrets: Lynn Watkins, Debbie Mason, Jim Mason and Kristen Heis.
Danny welcomed everyone to the meeting
Meeting brought to order at 7:10 pm
The floor was opened for nominations for President.
Danny Morris agreed to stay on as President.
The floor was opened for nominations for Vice President.
Anne Lindsay nominated Betty Landego, Seconded by Madeline Ponask.
Betty Landego agreed to become Vice President.
The floor was opened for nominations for Secretary.
Betty Landego nominated Lynn Watkins as Secretary. Seconded by Danny Morris.
Lynn Watkins was not at the meeting to accept the nomination, she will be asked at the next meeting if she is willing to accept the nomination.
The Annual General Meeting adjourned at 7:13 pm.

The meeting was brought to order at 7:13 pm
Approval of Nov. 9, 2009 Minutes.
Madeline Ponask approved the Nov 9, 2009 minutes as presented. Seconded by Esther Latchman. Carried.
RDPC is gearing up for exam season.
Grade 12, Consumer Math Project
Grade 12, Jan 5 - 8 Language Arts exam
Grade 12, Jan 18 – 21 Math Standards exam
Grade 12, Jan 11, 12, 13 French Standards exam
Exam week Feb 1 –5
No classes on Jan 15, in-service.
RDPC received a bomb threat. The school has a policy in place, which was followed. The administration and staff made sure a letter was sent home with all students the day of the threat.

Mr Land gave the Parent Council a cloth folder as a thank you to the Parent Council. The gift was greatly appreciated by the members
President Report
Danny Morris spoke with Ms. Sousa regarding the Driver Education Class. The Class is held at RDPC and is not the responsibility of RDPC. Students and/or adults who want to be involved can contact her.
Mb Assoc of Parent Council (MAPC) membership has been paid.
A meeting was held November 23, 2009. A committee has been formed. The students and adults were asked if they wanted to have a Prom, students wanted the Prom and adults were split. The Prom will be held on May 14, 2010. A suggestion that Grade 11 students and parents could work with the Grade 12’s.
