We added a beautiful baby girl to our family Dec 27/02. Layne Aidan was 3 mths premature & weighed 2 lbs 31/2 oz. She spent the first 10 weeks of her life at St Boniface Hospital but is now a very energetic, happy, outgoing 2 yr old. Our oldest, Drew is 12 and very invloved in girls hockey in Wpg. I have been into the internet since before the WWW, back when it was basically text based & AOL. It nevered crossed my mind to even check out R.D Parker's website....becuase honostly I didn't think it would contain much. I am glad I decided to finally drop by, I am impressed. I am still living in Thompson & probably will until Paul retires. We are still together( 15+ yrs now ) and we just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last year. We have two beautiful girls, Ashley age 6 & Adrianna age 2 yrs. Paul works for Inco, and has been there for 13 years. I have chosen to stay at home with my kids until both of them are in school. I have been doing professional web-design on the internet for the past 4 years & I also own a commercial website which I created & have had for almost 7 years now. I often think about past classmates & days at R.D Parker. An update on me...About a year after graduation I left Thompson, & ended up returning to my hometown of Ottawa to work in graphics. After staying there for 10 years & finally cluing in to the fact that this wasn't the place I wanted to be, in April of 2000 I decided to follow my family west, and am currently living just outside Vancouver. Although I am still utilizing my graphics skills, I'm working in a more administrative role now and much prefer the lower stress levels. I think I've finally found the place I wish to call home!! I am still in awe of this beautiful province. I have kept in touch with a few former classmates but would love to hear from others that I haven't managed to keep track of! I'm still married to Darryl Hause (1990) and Kaylyn (1993) and Matthew (1995) still keep us on our toes...more so now because they are hitting those teen years. I'm still working for University College of the North as an Administrative Assistant but I have also become a certified Safety & Health Trainer as well as working towards becoming a Construction Safety Officer. I was elected to the School Board of Trustees in October of 2006 and it's been a rollercoaster ride so far but a wonderful learning experience just the same. Hello all...It was nice to read the comments on the web site and see the many names, some of which I haven't heard since school ended for us all. As for me, I stayed in Thompson till recently. After 17 years at INCO (12 as a supervisor) I pulled the plug and moved to Winnipeg this past August. I started work with MTS in Thompson right after graduation, working at various jobs within the company. I met my Husband Blaine in 1990 when he moved to Thompson with MTS. We married in June 1992 and in 1995 we both transferred to Brandon. I took a buyout package from MTS in April 1996 and our daughter Laura was born in August 1996. Blaine took a buyout package in 1997 and then we moved to his parents farm in July of that year. Our son Troy was born in September 1997. We have a PMU (Pregnant Mare Urine) farm where there are approximately 80 Belgian horses. I keep busy with the kids and all their activities, as well as Community volunteering and Blaine is busy looking after the horses. My parents and brother Leroy are still in Thompson, but I don't get up there as often as I'd like. Please drop me a line anytime!

As someone who uses the internet most of the day I was interested to see R.D. Parker has a presence on the web. I was great to see some posts from people I remember from those days gone by. I am alive and well living in Tucson Arizona, about 70 kilometers from the Mexican border. I am currently working for a international telecommunications company. The weather is quite different from Thompson as it's about 45 Celsius today. I truly enjoyed my visit to the site.

I really hope that nobody minds me jumping in here, considering that we left Thompson in 1985 and I never got the opportunity to graduate with all of my friends. It sure has been interesting to read about what everyone has been up to. Quite often I find myself thinking "I wonder whatever happened to...." I noved to Brandon in 1985, met my husband Mark in '86, graduated in 1987, married in '90, moved to Kelowna in '92. We've been here ever since, and we have a beautiful 4 yr old little boy (Mason, April '03). I have worked as an accountant in the skiing and winery industries here in Kelowna, but recently became a stay at home mom until DS is in school full time (another 2 more years of freedom!). I have been keeping an eye out on Facebook recently, but not too many familiar names ..it's very difficult to find highschool girlfriends when you don't know their married names .. this is a great tool to get back in touch! Just a quick update, back to work after boy #3, Connor (1996) Zac (1999) and Joshua(2003)me and Martin celebrated year 10 last Christmas. Moved down to a town just outside of Vancouver called Mission. Still loving life and work out in BC year 9 with Fisheries and Oceans as a Fishery Officer (think Wildlife officer but more fish), and still stay in touch with a few from Thompson. I am glad people have been putting down thier stories. I moved from Thompson to Winnipeg in 1991. Did some schooling and worked for almost 8 years with Financial Planners. Two years ago I found my "niche" and have been at a consulting firm where I run the Assessment Psychometric Center helping people in thier Career Management. Our office also provides Executive Search & Organizational Development for companies that require help in those areas. Currently I am off work due to Chemotherapy Treatments for the next year (until May 2002)I had cancer in 1997 then seemed to go into reminision, but it came back this past January 2001 in my left leg lymphnodes. Had extensive surgery (still have my leg) and I started treatments in May 2001. I am feeling o.k. got a long haul ahead of me! Hope all is well with everyone and please feel free to email me. Not to shabby, It was interesting to reminiscing about the old days. Wow, I can't believe all the time that's gone by. I am now married (no, not an arranged marriage) and we have a 21 month old son named Jozef Krishan. We were living in Ottawa but decided to move back to Winnipeg when I was pregnant. I just finished a contract with Stats Canada and I am spending time at home with our son and trying to get our home business off the ground. We are into immigration consulting. I would love to hear from former friends and classmates. What are you all doing???

I moved to Winnipeg right after graduation but only stayed there 1.5 years before moving on to Vancouver. I graduated with a BA from UBC, but am now working in the accounting department for ResortQuest Whistler. I have lived in Squamish for just over 3 years now and have worked in Whistler the whole time. I was married & divorced, and will be getting married again in August 2002 to a great guy from Squamish named Richard. No kids of my own yet, but I have a 4 year old stepdaughter, Ali, and 2 cats. My children are growing up to be healthy, happy beautiful people, I have been blessed with a great family and group of friends and I'm looking forward to life's new adventures. I'm not attached with anyone and plan to keep it this way for awhile. I'm planning on pursuing Graduate studies and take a leave from MKO.
