I've only seen other RDPC websites for class reunions, as I knew there was one being planned for our 10 year reunion last summer --- but it didn't happen. That's ok. We can have a 15 year reunion. Anyway, I have graduated from Red River college with a Bus. Admin Diploma, Managment certification, Human Resource Managment Diploma and am now working in the Human Resources department at Red River college and pursing a possible Business venture. And the kicker is, it's back in Thompson!!!!! I guess it's true, some people can't stay away too long. I'm still just dating, have no children and live in Winnipeg. Chris and I are still in North Vancouver (almost 8 years) and we just had our 5th wedding anniversary last halloween. No kids yet, I'm happy to say - we still have our bunnies (Clover, Bean, and Thumper) who are bratty as ever, but very cuddly. I'm managing a store and Chris is still driving a truck, and I'm still doing my volunteer thing with emergency social services. Other than that, I've been spending my time trying to get my butt back down to a reasonable size, reading (in hopes of learning new stuff), and giving countless earrubs to the bunnies. Got my CA in fall of '03 and am now at Investors Group as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst (blah blah). Was accepted to transfer to Cayman Islands for two year stint in spring '03 but could unfortunately not go -- must have happened for a reason! Well, I graduated in 99 from the University of Winnipeg with a degree in Justice and Law, and then decided to go south to Mexico to learn Spanish and teach English (can you believe it Mr. Freeman). My original plan was to stay a year, but I ended up staying 3 after meeting my now husband-Lenin. We recently got married at a hotel in Mexico, poolside with a beautiful view of the beach. We had a beautiful daughter named Shalen on May 7, 2001 (can I paste pictures of her in here or what??) he he. We've now been here in Winnipeg for one month...I just returned to work from Maternity leave. I'm working as a Marketing Employer Representative for the Centre for Aboriginal Human Resource Development Inc. Sorry guys...am I talking too much again. Been with them three years now, they can't find an excuse to fire me yet. Really enjoy the work. After high school had a few stints in Universty and College, nothing really panned out but I had a really great time, don't really remember much (Ha!) Now I have an employer that pays for all my schooling. Lately I've been travelling around Manitoba a lot with work, not a lot of exotic locations, but interesting anyway. I'm in my first year of Law at the U of M so I won't be doing much of anything else. My "retirement" from politics did not last very long. After leaving my job on a cabinet minister's political staff, I find myself doing some advisory stuff on the federal level. My petit fille Taryn is doing amazing as always. She is now in grade two and still taking acting lessons as well as training for competitive gymnastics. I am so blessed to have such a great kid. I am always grateful to the true friends I had when she was little, I don't see or talk to some of them anymore, but I always wish them the best. Certainly nice to find this website after all these years since graduating from here. Those were nice times at school, and playing on the b-ball team. Now I am working for the Ministry of Children & Pamily Development. Quite the job and responsibility that comes with it. Just finished training I needed to complete.
