Welcome to R.D. Parker Collegiate

Welcome to R.D. Parker Collegiate!

In the spirit of truth and reconciliation, we would like to acknowledge that we are signatories of treaty five land and recognize the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation on whose traditional territory we live, learn, and teach.  The School District of Mystery Lake is located in the community of Thompson in the province of Manitoba, which is located on the traditional and ancestral lands of the nehetho/Ininiw, Denesųłiné, Métis, Inuit, Anisininew, Anishinaabe, and Dakota Oyate Nations. Let this acknowledgment serve as a reminder of our commitment to honor treaties in the spirit of truth and reconciliation.  We are all treaty people.

We are a secondary school serving grades 9 through 12 with a population of approximately 1000 students. The high school serves the community of Thompson, Manitoba, as well as the outlying communities.

R. D. Parker Collegiate offers a variety of programs to help students find their own unique path to success. We have a variety of vocational education majors, academic stream majors as well as a mature student program.

Course Selection

Over the next month counselors will be meeting with our current grade 9, 10 and 11 students to select their courses for next year. We encourage families and students to review the COURSE SELECTION GUIDE to prepare for their meeting with the counselors. The pick selection screen is open in Parent Connect and Student Connect and you are able to start selecting course right away. The pick screens will close Friday April 12th to allow the school time to build the schedule for next year which is a lengthy process. Just a friendly reminder that even though you may have picked a class, this does not necessarily mean you will get placed into the class next year.

Smudging

Elder Sanderson and Kaysi would like to offer time on Tuesdays in blocks B, C and D for students and/or staff to take the opportunity to smudge.  Smudging will take 15 minutes and you must sign up in students services prior to attending.
